Memorial stone for Jan Nieuwenhuyzen, died 25 February 1806. On an altar in a niche is the bust of Jan Nieuwenhuyzen, founder of the Maatschappij Tot Nut van 't Algemeen. Above it a frame with the name, date of birth and death of Nieuwenhuyzen. On the altar a motto in Latin (He did not plant anything there). The bust is praised by the Dutch Virgin. For her, the personification of the Society that covers her tearful face and leans on the altar and its shield. On the other side of the altar, the Godliness looks up to the bust. Her hand rests on a bible (Salvation), in the other she holds the serpent that bites its own tail (Eternity) and a palm branch (Peace). A young woman, symbolizing youth, sacrifices on the altar of Gratitude. In the foreground is Love, which points to the bust of the founder. One of the children reaches for the fruits of the cornucopia (the child is already reaping the benefits of the foundation of the Society).
