An allegorical representation after the story The Holy War, Conducted by King El-Schaddai against Diabolus by John Bunyan from 1682. In the middle of below lies a sleeping woman encased in roses, angels admire and guard her. It symbolizes the city of Menin Soul as it was in principle created by King El-Schaddai (God). Above the sleeping woman sits the crowned son of the king, Immanuel (Christ). At the top left and top center he is depicted again. Immanuel was sent to the city by his father to recapture it from the seducer and occupier Diabolus (Satan). In the lower right, Diabolus enthrones in hell. In the middle the city gate of Mensenziel with guards, lord Disbelief and Diabolus. Left and right you can see the battles between the supporters of Immanuel and Diabolus.
