Allegory with stadholder Frederik Hendrik and the victory over the Spaniards on the Slaak, 12-13 September 1631. The State fleet was commanded by Vice-Admiral Marinus Hollare. Sheet composed of six plates. Plate in the middle of the top: Frederik Hendrik standing in the face of personification of the united Netherlands (woman who gives him a laurel wreath). In the background Religio: people listening to a sermon. Wealth, weaponry and the Netherlands Lion amassed on the ground. In the background Den Bosch (conquered in 1629). On either side two plates with conquered cities and victories between 1629 and 1632. At the bottom on each side a small plate as a pedestal. Plate in the middle below: beginning of the expedition in Antwerp and unfortunate end during the battle on the Slaak.
