Bobbin lace gown strip: Ghent lace. With a scalloped border, decorated with kidney-shaped cartouches with filling pattern, an ornamental band, tendrils, small flowers, curly ribbons, roses and tulips. The design for the patron is still with the Sisters of Our Lady of the Visitation, as well as an account statement of March 22, 1862 for Mrs. de Nève for delivered lace. The lace was worn by Mrs. Irma Jeanne Constance Marie Ghislaine de Nève de Roden, married on 27-06-1865 to Paul Maximilien Ghislain, baron of Caloen de Basseghem, for her portrait, painted in 1865 by Fritz Hickmann (1820-1900; part. verz. Belgium).
