Robe à l'anglaise. According to the accompanying text, the gown is of light pink satin and the underskirt is of light white satin. Here about a very large scarf of white taf silk decorated with a large falbala of black tulle, instead of a cloak. The scarf is draped over the chest, knotted on the back (over the gown) and thus forms a belt. The two ends are decorated with the same falbala or fringe. The hair hangs 'à la Conseillère' and has two large curls that fall over the shoulders. On the hairstyle a 'casque à la Romaine' of yellow satin with three large feathers. The casque is decorated with a tulle of white tulle, which hangs from behind to the belt. The print is part of the 8th Cahier from the Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, November 15, 1785 - November 1, 1786.
