According to the accompanying text, the man is dressed in a gray coat ('habit') with black velvet collar, Below he wears a striped vest of tafside and knee pants with round buckles at the hem. Wrinkled jabot (??) and cuffs. Hat à l'Androsmane with button and lis, tail wrapped with black fabric, breloques, shoes with round ?? buckle. Hairdo? The print is part of the 20th Cahier from the series Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, November 15, 1785 - November 1, 1786.
