At the top left of the war in 1672 with Louis XIV the bishops of Cologne and Münster, minister Louvois and cardinal Fürstenberg, at the top right the ship bridge over the Rhine with heavily loaded boats and wagons, at the bottom left William III gives the French an ash cross as penance and in the background the murder of the de Witt brothers, at the bottom right the French are driven out of the country again in 1674. Under the performance a text sheet with in 3 columns a veiled description of the events according to the Roman holidays and an explanation of the figures 1-30, in Dutch.
