Detailed sentence on the death of the De Witt brothers. Johan and Cornelis fly through the air like devils. The prince stands at the Dutch Garden in which the Dutch Virgin and the Dutch Lion are located. Furthermore, parts of the population are in turmoil. On the right the Catholic Church from which the Pope and the French King oversee the events. At the top of the show is the title of the print in a cartouche on either side of which the mutilated bodies of the De Witt brothers hang. The print was published as part of the pamphlet 'Het Ondersoeck der Geest' by Jacob de Lambre (Knuttel 10421). On the pamphlet is by hand the date 1675 15 Febr. which Muller considers to be the date of publication. All details in the performance are marked with letters explained in the pamphlet.
