Coat, green with white striped, of thin, supple fabric, anonymous, c. 1740 - c. 1760 Canvas Print
Jacket, green with white striped, of thin, supple fabric. The jacket was probably not lined. On both sides, an elongated piece has been used from the middle. In the left front there were twenty-three buttonholes. The left sleeve is kept separate from the jacket (see NG-2006-110-17-B). The narrow sleeves were closed at the wrist with two buttons. Each sleeve consists of two large elongated parts and a small strip that is inserted under the armpit. The sleeves were probably only partially sewn to the body. The 0.85 cm wide longitudinal stripes are formed by alternating groups of light brown (originally white?) and of green warp threads. The light brown weft yarn is largely covered by the chain yarns due to the method of weaving. Woven in satin binding.
