Woman, walking to the right, dressed in a gown with long sleeves and tow: 'Robe à l'Esclave'. With the right hand she lifts the skirt. On the head a hat: 'chapeau à la Caroline'. Further accessories: long scarf around the left shoulder, flat shoes with pointed noses and crossed straps. The print is part of a series of 142 fashion prints, of which 115 have been identified, published by J. Chéreau, Paris, 1799-1810.
