Cup and saucer of porcelain with the wall divided into two flared parts, the upper of which is ribbed, and scalloped edge. Painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, purple, black and gold. On the flat of the dish a representation of a man and a woman sitting in an interior with draperies; the woman wears a low-cut dress, and the man bends over to her, laying a number of coins in her womb; the inner edge with a band with leaf vines to which flower or fruit branches. The head with the same decoration. Ear of the head broken off; a crack and a chip in the edge of the head. The performance goes back to a print by Bernard Picart (1673-1733). European representation in enamel colours.
