In front of the palace is a carriage with two horses in front of it, one white and one brown. On the buck is a coachman in uniform. on the steps of the palace are two uniformed men and on the platform is a third man talking to the governor, Sir Pinsam Bonham. From the doorway in the middle, a woman comes out with two girls. The woman is Mrs. Agnes Bathwaite Skeete, the governor's wife. The family will board the waiting carriage. To the left and right of the palace are tamarind trees. to the right of the palace runs a path the forest is. In front is a guardhouse with a guard. In front of the palace is a large lawn intersected with paths. To the left of the palace is a man in uniform. The uniformed men are all white. On the right, a black man with a hat walks and a white rider walks along the path. Further on, a man with a hat and something under his arm and in the right hand walks in the direction of the palace.
