Emperor Charles V sits on a throne, with an eagle between his feet. The eagle has in its beak a ring to which ropes are attached with which the conquered enemies of the emperor are bound. To the left of the throne are: Francis I, King of France, Pope Clement VII and Turkish Prince Süleyman I. On the right are the German Protestant princes Philip I, Landgrave of Hesse, the Elector of Saxony and William II, Duke of Gelre, Cleves, Gulik and Berg. The print is part of a twelve-part series about the victories of Charles V. He has a separate text strip with a Latin text.
