Eresabel awarded on behalf of Queen Wilhelmina to the then 1st Lieutenant of the Infantry KNIL H. Colijn. The sabre has a silver vest, the impact plate of which is decorated with floral motifs. The ivory handle is wound with twisted silver wire and a handle cap that culminates in a vest button in the shape of a crowned lion's head. On the vest hangs a tarragon or sabre brush. The blade is partly blued and embossed with the text Queen Wilhelmina for shown bravery // 1st Lieutenant of the Infantry H. Colyn. Aceh, June-December 1899. The sheath is made of German silver and has flower motifs decorated tow plate and bands and a single ring. There's a custom-made casket in the honor table.
