Exhibition of paintings in the Rembrandt Room in 1952, 1952 Canvas Print
Arrangement of regents' pieces in the Rembrandt room. The paintings are hung in front of a curtain wall. The passage leads to the hall of fame. Night watch room seen to the northeast. Rectangular room with circular masonry cove on a cornice, which opens up a glass skylight. In order to obtain the right incidence of light for the Night Watch, the Night Watch has been moved from the southern to the western wall and an opaque slab has been hung under the light duct. The raveel construction of the skylight consists of composite iron beams, which are supported by four marble columns with caryatids. The frieze, the cornice, the cove and the caryatids were provided with decorative paintings, but were whitewashed in 1925. The walls are covered with velour. On the left one of the two passageways to the hall of fame.
