Flintlock pistol, Jacobus van Solingen, c. 1770 Canvas Print
The lock is engraved with the name of the creator; rainproof pan; inside lock plate stamped with J : P. The barrel is lightly engraved with praise, on top in rococo style; the visor grain is of yellow copper; stamped on the back with the coat of arms of Amsterdam and a brand in the form of a globe with a cross. The stock is simply cut with, among other things, a leaf; the front drawer is equipped with a cow horn cover. The previously gilded, yellow-copper fitting, partly with referenced relief decoration, consists, among other things, of a screw plate in two parts, each consisting of partially ajour processed rococo-style foliage, a trigger bracket with the same decoration and fruit garlands and flowers, a thumb plate framed by a embossed edge with a three-leafed flower at the top and a leaf at the bottom , and a stock cap decorated in the same way as the trigger bracket with engraved flowers; loading stick with a cow horn hood. The batter is the same as that of NG-2002-23-170.
