Gallery of honour seen from southeast in 1929, 1929 Canvas Print
View of the Gallery of Honour, with cabinets by John F. Loudon on either side of the passageway to the front hall in which the collection of Deftse pottery was set up. The passageway leading to the Voorhal was closed to a wrought iron fence from Arnhem, which made the circular walk through the halls possible in a proper sequence, while, in order to promote a more rapid clearing for the public, it was opened 15 minutes before the closure. Through the passage on the right you can see part of the front hall. On the left the most northwestern cabinet of the Hall of Fame. In 1925, the floor of the gallery and cabinets was levelled and parquetd. Except on the semi-columns and the vaults and the friezes under the kooflijsten of the cabinets, the decoration then disappeared. The entrance from the Voorhal is closed by means of a fence.
