German military album Second World War, anonymous, 1939 - 1940 Canvas Print
German military photo album with a blue linen cover. The album contains 24 sheets of brown cardboard with 144 photos, spider silk paper in between. String through the back. It is an album by a soldier who was probably a radio telegrapher at the Luftwaffe. All photos with captions. In 1939 and 1940 many photos of military training in Germany, various places of residence and holidays at home. With 'Belgien und Holland geschlagen' the part about the Netherlands begins. The compiler of the album is photographed wearing a Dutch helmet, including photographs of unexploded British bombs, English aircraft and damage to houses. In the summer of 1940 he is back in Germany. On August 30, he will be promoted to Wachtmeister.
