Gunlock (Percussion), H.A. Gobius, 1832 Canvas Print
Percussion lock, painted black, mounted on the right side against the final lift with two bolts with wing nuts that go through the final lift. The hammer rotates at a right angle to the barrel; the trigger rope is fastened into the stem of the hammer and goes backwards through a ring. There's a support for the hammer if it hits back. The zundgat is covered with an iron plate, which is pulled back by a ridge on the shaft of the hammer when the hammer rotates.
