Hercules with the Broken Column, Jan Pieter van Baurscheit (de Oude), c. 1700 - c. 1725 Canvas Print
On a square plinth, Hercules stands with the left leg forward in front of the profiled pedestal of the broken column, which he clasps with his left arm and whose upper part he clamps against his hip with the right arm and hand. His gestured head is whole, the upper body slightly to the right accustomed. The lion's skin, which is held up by the left hand against the column, hangs between the legs to the ground.
