Jug of stoneware on high foot with a cylindrical body, round shoulder and wide, ribbed neck. Profiles on the body and foot. Covered with a brown engobe. On the belly in relief a printed and imposed band, divided by pilasters into boxes in which alternately the coat of arms of Amsterdam, flanked by griffins, and the coat of arms of Saxony. The lower part of the abdomen slopes to the foot and has canelures. On the shoulder semicircular boxes with notch cut between which a stamped, stylized flower vine. The neck with a band of flower vines interrupted by masks in a medallion. Attached to the ear a pewter frame with lid. Copy based on the 16th century Raerense type. Raeren.
