The object, which is largely composed of copper plate, consists of three parts: the tray, the drawer underneath and the lid. it stands on four round legs and has a handle on the lid, which has a profiled thickening in the middle and ends in acorns. The tray and lid are reinforced along the sides with profiled bands, which are decorated with, among other things, tremble area. Internally, the container is divided into square and rectangular compartments by riveted and soldered partitions. In the lid is a hinged flap that can be secured with a button. Externally, the four hefty brackets of the two hinges are riveted on the tray and desel, with which these parts are attached to each other. The engraved representations on the hinged side of the box and lid make this side the front of the box: on the box in the middle the hand-adorned With a turban-adorned Good Samaritan who has taken off his easel by a tree (without a crown) and bends over the traveller robbed of his clothes, while on the right in the background the Levier walks away. On the right a standing female figure with a mask on the back of her head, a mirror in her left hand (the Caution). On the lid in the middle a weapon (a seated fox) with a helmet, a fox as a helmet sign and a cover composed of acanthus leaves. Above and under two bands with the saying BELOVT GODT BOVEN AL and the name DANIEL DE VOS, furthermore the year 1625. Left and right on the lid symmetrically by knots bundled tendril work. In the short right side of the box is the buttoned tray mounted, which is no longer extendable. Above it two engraved representations of the fable of Aesop about the fox and the stork. On the short left side and on it on the back (with the cut) of the box, four representations of the doctor as God, angel, man and devil are engraved. That is, respectively, as a figure surrounded by a halo, who looks at a glass and has in front of him on the floor a number of jars and bandage cloths and in the background two sick people lying in a four-poster bed or a british, as well as on the left in the foreground a kneeling woman by the fire; then the main character is depicted as an angel with a cup in hand and two sick people sitting in bed, then as a man in a tabbard with a book and scissors and figures sitting in the background by the fire, and finally as a devil with figures in the background, one of which draws his weapon.
