Landscape with trees on a square format. In the foreground is a bare tree on the bank by water. A shepherd with sheep, a rider and a hiker walk on a dirt road past a farm. This landscape is printed in color according to the Teyler process. This technique, developed by Johannes Teyler in 1688, meant that the copper plate was provided with different colors by hand. The pressure was then further coloured by hand.
