A naked winged woman is enthroned on a pedestal and is given two shields with initials of lovers by two cupids. She ties the ropes of the shields together as a symbol of their marriage. Marital fidelity and love is expressed by two lovebirds, two burning hearts and a shield with two hands grasping each other. According to the inscription, this medal was made on the occasion of the twenty-five year marriage of Jan de Barij and Jeanne Raguet that was celebrated in Amsterdam on November 13, 1732.
