Memory album for F.J. Junius, departing resident of Lampong (South Sumatra), anonymous, 1932 - 1933 Canvas Print

Memory album for F.J. Junius, departing resident of Lampong (South Sumatra), anonymous, 1932 - 1933 Canvas Print

Photo album in brown cover of brown crocodile leather. The back is laced with a reddish-brown cord. The album contains 22 sheets separated by perga mine intermediate sheets with a total of 86 photographs, one of which was found separately. The prints have a white border and are attached with golden photo corners. Each photo has a handwritten caption. The album was probably offered at the farewell of F.J. Junius, resident of Lampong (South Sumatra) from 1930 to 1933. Pictured are several police and fire departments from his district, mostly stately group portraits and staged 'action photos' of shooting and fencing lessons, exercises, leisure activities and verbalizing a driver. The unveiling of the so-called 'Junius bank' in Tandjongkarang on 21 May 1921 is also in the picture. On the last page, the photographer and album author reserved a place for himself: the regional police photographer of Lampong whose name is unknown.
