The round quirky has a cast, vaulted base on which in high relief an ox, an eagle, an angel and a lion, the symbols of the four Evangelists. These are interspersed with low-relief scenes from the life of Christ on a punched ground: the Nativity, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and the Ascension. The base has a flat lower edge that is surrounded by curling, flame-like ornaments. These ornaments are repeated in a more powerful version and mirrored, at the bottom along the foot. The narrowly tapering upper part of the foot is decorated with acanthus leaves all around. The trunk consists of an inverted pear-shaped nodus between two narrow, articulated nodi. These parts are decorated with vines and corn sheaves, the lower part of the large nodus with acanthus leaves, all on a roughened ground. The low, smooth cuppa is encased in a counter-cuppa on which four angels are driven between vines, three of whom carry the instruments of suffering and the fourth the sweat cloth of Saint Veronica. The upper edge of the tegencuppa consists of soft, curling ornaments.
