Model of a 24-Pounder Gun on a Carriage, anonymous, 1797 - 1800 Canvas Print

Model of a 24 pound cannon on coastalaffuit. The 57 cm long barrel has a caliber of 33 mm. On the barrel, the inscriptions are engraved, along with crossed anchors and palm branches. The roller horse consists of two pearly cheeks with four steps and an elliptical cut-out at the bottom, which are connected by the calf and soleplate. The ant axle body is attached to the cheeks with braces. The wooden front wheels consist of two discs. At the back, the model does not have a normal axle body with wheels: the cheeks do have a recess for an axle with levers and a ridge under the soleplate, to lift the roller horse at the back.
