Model of a floating dry dock, on a ground shelf. It consists of five parts, which are connected to each other. Each part is a rectangular barge or pontoon with a tower at each end. On top of each tower are four pumps, which have to pump the pontoon empty. The five parts are connected to each other by trellis on the outside and corridors with railing that connect the towers. The model shows two types of pumps: double impact pumps and pumps whose pump rods are connected to a drum, which is moved back and forth with levers. Outside, on the axis of these drums, pendulums with a weight are attached on both sides.
