Napkin of linen damask with the reconquest of Buda from the Turks. The symmetrical pattern shows four scenes: 1 Two crowned coats of arms, 1st an oblique beam laden with three eagle cubs (Lorraine) and 2nd the painted field of Bavaria. Inscription: DUX LOTHARINGIAE [ET] ELECTOR BAVARIAE. 2 Cityscape in lobe medallion with inscription BUDA and held by a used male figure, dressed in justaucorps, rhingrave, accompanied by a ditto detached figure. 3 Prancing horse, ridden by rider with plumed wide-brindled hat and command staff. At his feet two felled enemies. 4 In the middle the crowned coat of arms of the German Empire; aside and carried by a flying eagle and smaller coat of arms of Hungary: divided: 1. cross with two transverse arms standing on a mountain, 2 four crossbars. CAPTION AQUILAE VIRBUS IN POTESTATEM IMPERATORIS BUDA REDACTA EST. Standing edges: single volutes, in which a halved eagle. All around: block edge.
