The ox (left) leans over a cochlea. In one hoof he holds a painter's palette, in the other brushes and a painting stick. The forehead of the mascaron (right) is decorated with the bust of a man with a turban on it. Leaf from a series of flat decorations with grotesks, cartouches, ovals, mascarons, putti and fantastic creatures. The series consists of three title pages, two text sheets with the assignment and the foreword and 60 sheets, divided over three books.
