Photo album by Mr. Brams, supreme wood vester of Queen Wilhelmina at Koninklijke Houtvesterij Het Loo, various makers, Brams, c. 1900 - c. 1920 Canvas Print
Photo album in brown leather band with 26 cardboard sheets and 281 pasted photos. The edges of the blades appear to be cut off and re-bound. Almost all sheets have a similar layout: four larger photos are pasted around a small round, diamond-shaped or cut-out print. The album belonged to Mr. Brams, the supreme wood vester who headed the Koninklijke Houtvesterij Het Loo at the time of wilhelmina's kingship and was in charge of the management of the royal property. The album shows equestrian scenes on and around the wood fort: riders, horses, hunting dogs, forests, moors, country roads, farms and country houses. The moments in which a rider company ascends and enjoy a snack and a drink in the wild are frequently depicted. There are also multiple recordings of four-horse riding and steeplechase races (obstacle races) on an unidentified racecourse.
