Photo album with hard cover lined with red linen with embossed in silver on the front in ornate letters: Souvenir de Voyage. On the faded back the part number 2. Part of a group of five albums of the same name numbered 1-5. The album contains 24 sheets of cardboard with 136 photos pasted on both pages and on the cover pages of the album. Some photos are numbered and have a handwritten caption. Of many recordings, the pasted prints are present in duplicate, in black and white and in blue (cyanotype) on the opposite page. Life of the Doijer family (Hendrik Doijer and Henriette Maria Catharina Kranenburg) in and around the plantation Ma Retraite in Suriname in the years 1906-1913.
