Bust to the right. Print after a drawn self-portrait. The French Rococo artist Charles Francois Hutin (1715-1776) received his education at the Académie Royale with Francois Lemoine. After his studies he left, together with his father, for Rome, where, on the advice of Jean-Francois de Troy, the new director of the French Academy, he started sculpting. In 1742 he returned to Paris. In 1744 he was hired as a sculptor at the Académie Royale.
