To the left and right above are four coats of arms, the shield of which is the coat of arms of Van Ruyven at the top left. Claes van Ruyven, steward of the Count of Holland and sheriff of Haarlem, was beaten to death in Haarlem in 1492 during the revolt of the Cheese and Bread People.
