Portrait of a man at the age of 30, printed on satin. Not entirely clear who is pictured here; a print bears the name 'Hieronymus Scoliers Antverpianus', but in a letter (now in the possession of the Fondation Custodia in Paris) it says that here is depicted 'Simon Sovius, born in 1533; rector of the school for Latin in Amsterdam'. Border inscription in Latin around the oval.
