At the top left are beheadings, including the conviction of Rombout Hogerbeets and Hugo de Groot to life imprisonment in the state prison slot Loevestein. At the top right the body of Gilles van Ledenberg hung in a coffin and below it the four exiled men Conradus Vorstius, Daniel Tresel, Johannes Wtenbogaert and Johan de Haen.
