William George Frederick, Prince of Orange-Nassau, was wounded in a battle against the French near Wervik in West Flanders on 13 September 1793. Centrally the prince with raised degen on horseback the moment he is hit by a gunshot. Behind him are adjutants Carel Bentinck and Tinne.
