Redevelopment in room 175 in 1931, 1931 Canvas Print

Room 175 (Cuypers numbering). Dutch history, originally decorated after the abbey of Rolduc. Redesign for the permanent exhibition the Geschiedenis ter Zee, which was opened on 24 October 1931. In the foreground view of a table on which all kinds of building materials lie. Behind it two stairs and in the background you can see a number of ship models that have been placed here for the exhibition. The decorative paintings are brushed away with the white brush. The vault, the columns and the two passageways belong to the original design of this space. The walls and vaults are whitewashed with the help of the vaults and the girdle arches, so that the original paintings are largely hidden from view.
