Room 165 seen from a northeasterly direction in 1926, 1926 Canvas Print

In the middle of the hall is a column with an ionish capital. A decoration by Vredeman de Vries has been placed on the wall; the story of the Good Samaritan is rendered in ornate letters. Around the column are two high and two low display cabinets. On the right side of the photo you can see a part of a stained glass window with a representation of Prince Maurits in a kneeling position. Originally, this room was dedicated to ecclesiastical architecture from the XVIIth century and built along the lines of the reformed churches in the Netherlands by Hendrik de Keijser. The stained glass windows come from the Oosterkerk in Hoorn and the Ned. Reformed church in Oostburg.
