Sheet with four oval representations, each with inscription and date in Latin: upper left the Saint Romaricus of Remiremont dressed as a monk, at the top right the Saint Leocadia of Toledo praying by a cross in a prison cell, at the bottom left the Holy Menas and the Saint Hermogenes of Alexandria dressed as a soldier with palm branches in hand, at the bottom right Saint Damasus I as pope with a roll of paper in hand opposite another man. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian holidays of the year. There are always four scenes of one plate printed on one sheet. Including the accompanying title page and frontispiece, there are a total of 124 records (490 performances). The three slides with the last 12 scenes (the changeable Christian holidays) have been cut into 12 small pictures in the third state, and published with a separate title page.
