Sash for chief officers, c. 1830, anonymous, c. 1830 Canvas Print
Sash of faded orange cord silk (binding of Egypt. wickerwork) with tassels (without stars) with some damage. The sash is folded over and stitched. On one of the sides, on a rope hangs a hexagonal leather label with no. 11. An octagonal map is attached to a blue ribbon with the text General maj. baron de Perponcher. Both ends of the sash end in a flat brush, consisting of a wooden core, around which orange thread is wrapped. Braided and knotted cord has been applied over this. At the bottom of the brushes are three rows of ditto cord side. There are thin ditto fringes on this. Each fringe is provided with a knot at the bottom. Inside of the brushes consists of an oval piece of wood, which is hollowed out, and wrapped with orange silk thread. Fringes are also mounted in the hollow.
