He sits on a round elevation with the right foot placed back and the left one in front of him on a small, square elevation. He turns to the right, holding with the left hand some pages of the foliant that has been opened on one knee and the other above it. The caricatural head has large eyes, a long, curved, crooked nose with a lump on it, a pointed chin and an opened mouth, in which tongue and teeth are visible. On the head is a wig with hair of teeërlei length, the longest of which hangs down to the back. He wears a short jacket over a buttoned-up vest and a knotted cloth around the neck; shorts, at the knees with a row of buttons closed, stockings, which are twisted around the legs and tapered low shoes, on which a bow.
