A soldier, at his feet, to the right, holding a rudder (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand (no. 9), ca. 1600. He brings the rudder to his mouth to blow the fuse, with two fingers he covers the pan against sparks. Plate 9 in the instructions for handling the rudder.
