A soldier, feet out, to the right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand, pointing the barrel upwards, before transferring the weapon to his right hand (no. 31), c. 1600. In his left hand in addition to the musket also a burning fuse; on his left wrist a furket (musket fork). Plate 31 in the instructions for handling the musket: Corte subrechtinghe on the figuerliicke imagehe, so much aengaet the right ghebruyck vant Musquet.
