A soldier, at his feet, to the right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his right hand, pointing up the barrel (no. 4), ca. 1600. In his outstretched left hand a burning fuse and a furket (musket fork), on which he can place his weapon. Plate 4 in the instructions for handling the musket: Shorte instruction for the figures, so much concerneth the right use of muskett.
