The statue of Zeus was located inside the Doric temple of olympia, on the Greek Peloponnese. It was built around 433 B.C. Chr. made by the Athenian sculptor Phidias. To the right of the temple a statue of Hercules. On the steps in front of the temple people who worship the image of Zeus. In the foreground on the right Olympic wrestlers and riders, on the left one of the winners is honoured. The print has a Latin caption and is part of a series about the eight wonders of the world.
