Tablecloth made of linen damask with the Plus Oultre pattern. Midfield: symmetrical pattern repeated three times in width with twice alternating Charles V and Philip II on top of each other, in the midst of provincial coats of arms. Moreover, the scene with Philip II at the bottom appears halved. The scenes show: 1 The two columns of Hercules under the emperor's crown, text binding with: PLUS OULTRE, and apple of the empire. 2 A armored figure with emperor's crown and king's cloak, wide-legged, holds a sword with both hands with the tip down. Above him a text band with CAROLUS. 3 The thorny Andries cross with the sparking firestroke and the crowned helmeted coat of arms, on which the double eagle with shield with crossbar, and around it the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece. 4 (Across the full breadth) CONINCK VA SPANGE VA NAPLES OF PORTTUGAEL VAN-SECILLEN. 5 Armored figure, wide-legged, with king's crown and crowned scepter in the hands and scepter at the feet.
