The Arminian Testament, 1618, Claes Jansz. Visscher (II), 1650 - 1684 Canvas Print
Detailed allegorical depiction in which the Arminians are mocked. The print is an adaptation of an old plate by Simon Frisius made in 1609 on the occasion of the File. On the tower are the hostkeepers and personifications of Envy, Deceit, Slander, Seduction and Error. In the foreground, at the foot of the tower, are the seven provincial maidens. Left and right towers of the Prince of Orange and the Netherlands Lion. In the air fly Fame and Time.
