The Prince of Orange was wounded during the battle of Waterloo, 18 June 1815. Centrally the prince on horseback who has been injured in his shoulder, his staff rushes to the rescue. From the right comes a dragonder hit with the conquered French standard on which the names Austerlitz, Jena and Wagram. In the foreground on the left is a wounded Scottish soldier.
