Cartoon on William Frederick George Louis, Prince of Orange-Nassau (later King William II), who desperately declares his love to The English Princess Charlotte. The prince presented as a Dutchman in peasant clothing with a huge butt. He kneels before her with Apollo's laurel wreath on his head, in front of him on the rug are his hat and a mouth harp. On the princess's desk an image of a Dutchman who is beaten down returns to Holland. Charlotte broke off her engagement to the Prince of Orange on June 16, 1814.
